Liverpool BID Company have teamed up with arts, and heritage organisation ArtsGroupie CIC to celebrate Liverpoolโ€™s Culture Mile with a series of Liverpool theatre history walking tours guided by costumed characters. We’ve dubbed in it, The Dramatic Mile.

Long before Liverpool dominated music, the cityโ€™s theatres were once the envy of the world, with the ability to attract global stars, and launch unknown actors into the stratosphere.

Join Batholomew Garrick, Francoise Kemble, and Wildman Stageham, the eccentric Victorian actors, as they guide you through Liverpoolโ€™s fascinating theatre underbelly.

The tours are completely free to book on to, and the best part of all, there are four to choose from. If you happen to enjoy your first tour, you are welcome to come on the next one!

ArtsGroupie CIC

ArtsGroupie is a Liverpool based community interest company that is promoting and providing access to the arts in the North West and beyond.

We achieve this through developing our own touring theatre and music productions, and by facilitating educational workshops for both adults and children in creative writing and spoken word.

Ethically, our productions are created in collaboration with local artists to champion North West talent. We then take theatre and writing showcases to overlooked areas where access to the arts is limited. This has previously included Liverpoolโ€™s most deprived areas and rural areas nationally.

Must-See Month. Must-see, can’t-miss, the incredible events and offers from the 17th February – 17th March.
